World War II Nerd...

I LOVE learning about anything that has to do with World War II.  I am a total nerd about that kind of stuff.  But I find it so interesting, I love hearing war stories about brave soldiers who had so much American pride.  So one of the places that I am dying to go to while in France is Normandy.  The best part is that is is FREE to walk around the beaches and cemeteries.


So I will be seeing where this happened (for free)........



There is also a museum there that has artifacts from World War 2 and lots of other interesting things to see.  It is called the Caen Museum.  To go to the Caen museum it costs 18 euros, which is a lot of money, but I would say it is worth it.


And while I am in Normandy........I am dying to see Giverny, which is the home of the painter, Monet.  It costs 8 Euros, but just look at the beautiful gardens!

    I wish I knew more about history. Anyways, definitely go to that museum and DO what you think is worth it. :) Going to museums are my favourite part of Europe. Where else are you going in Europe? If you're going to London as well, I would say to definitely check out the British Museum and all the other galleries around.
